Starter for GrayMarine 327

I've just purchased an old Higgins with a 327ci Greymarine motor, but the starter is shot. I'm having a terrible time figuring out a matching starter. Does anyone have any ideas. I know it's theoretically the same as an AMC 327 gen 1 V8, but I want to make sure. Any advice helpful. Thanks, Guy
 
I'd suggest starting with a local rebuilder in your area...just make sure they understand it is for a marine application and you feel they truly understand.

If that doesn't work, you can try contacting ARCO or one of the other manufactures that specialize in marine applications...

Last resort, you can try one of the internet based 'importers'...
