how do i find out if this 327 hp 1967 chriscraft motor turns left or right

you can usually tell by looking at the bevel on the teeth of the ring gear...

The bulletproof method is to remove the plugs and the rocker cover for number one. spin the crank one way and watch the valves...when the exhaust valve closes and the intake opens, the crankshaft is spinning the 'correct way'. if not, check it the other way.
