Tachometer on new engine seems wrong.

I went from a yamaha 2002 90 tlr to a yamaha 1999 b115tlr

I never had any issues with the tach before. On this new engine thought my tachometer goes off the chart at higher speeds. I found that you can calibrate it but I seem to be already as high as the tach can go, 6P. All other settings are lower which causes my tachometer to be even higher.

I can’t figure out what setting I’m supposed to be on. I’m wondering if I need a new tach. A local prop shop gave me a different prop that should be over propped.

im hesitant to buy a new tach but all of the settings go the wrong way
