Oil Reservoir Puking Gear Oil

I have a 2003 Mercruiser 496 Mag in a Searay 270 Sundeck. It appears that the outdrive is getting hot and causing the oil to pressure up into the oil reservoir.
Has anyone else experienced this and is the a fix?

i have personally not experienced this but I recall reading several threads where it was an issue with the gasket in the cap and replacing the cap maybe it should go away
 
Mercruiser has an updated Lube Monitor bottle for this issue. First, I would go through the drive and make sure it isn't eating itself. If everything looks good the bigger bottle will help with the issue...

If the orange rubber valve is still in the cap, you need the upgraded bottle. FYI, I have had out of the box new drives do this behind a 496.
