1976 28 ft silverton with 2 crusaders 5.0 replacing shift cables 2 do the universal cables work ? J am changing ables from down stair helm these are factory controls not sure about cables has anybody had experince with these cables? Any info would be great thanks

As long as you buy the right length cable you should have no issues. Most any marine store carries them and if not in stock they can order them for you.

make sure the 'ends' of the new cable match what you have now---most of the time you can re-use the end fittings...

also, the old cables should have their length printed on the jacket...if what you have doesn't bind, get the same length.
