From what I’ve read the TLDI motors are really picky on battery size and voltage. I’ve got twin MD90Bs and I plan on buying new optima agms this winter but would also like to move the batteries forward. Are there any resources to help with battery cable sizing? The run would go from 8ft to about 18ft.
Also with them being so sensitive to low batteries at startup should I consider a third battery for the electronics/bilge/etc. I was planning on solar on the ttop to keep the batteries topped up but not sure if having an led light, stereo and electronics on while the engine is running would mess with the ECU if they share the same battery?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
