Tohatsu MFS60 Home Maintenance?

Hi All. I am curious if a Tohatsu MFS60 is a good motor for a doing the maintenance myself? Or is it essential to have it serviced by a pro on a regular schedule?

If not Tohatsu, are there other brands in the 50-60hp range that are noted for easier maintenance?

Look around on the internet for a genuine service manual for what ever engine you decide on. As far as which make is easier to maintain I have no idea.
