Just traded for one of these. Excellent condition, missing controls. Is there a range of years and models I can look at for controls?

Guessing its a 1985 85hp?
If so does it have Trim@Tilt?
The older models before 86 used a switch on the dash for T@T.
After 87 they used the shifter with T@T built into the shift handle.
You can use either Force or Chrysler shifters made up until 94/5
Did it come with any cables or wiring harness?
Ebay usually has a selection of used parts.
Some people on ebay want to get rich and charge crazy amounts.
One guy's selling the engine connectors for 50$ each ridiculous!!!
Before you buy, ask on here and someone might have something you can use.

Yes, it is a 1985 85hp. It does not have tilt or trim. Someone sheared the bolt off for the trim handle.

It came with a harness, but it's pretty hacked up. No cables.

Does anyone have the controls for this guy?

Not the regular Mercury T@T.
Some Mercury style units made from 92-95 will work but finding them
might be tricky and making them work even tricker!!
You can use the units from the late 70's to about 91-92
The older the unit the harder to make it work.
Some units have 3 wire and some have 2 wire??
The controls??? they have the T@T in the handle?
If not then a switch can be installed on the dash.
It was 1987 that they started putting the T@T in the shifter.
Sometimes finding a dead motor with T@T is the cheapest way.
I bought an 88/125, 125$ The owner said the motor was bad, nope, loose flywheel.
Look around, ebay and other sites have parts.
Pic of the shifter??
