Honda BF225 Parts Interchange

Hello all, first post.

Currently have a 2003 BF225A3 with a bad starboard head, two cylinders are toast, port head has one cylinder with lower compression, but not horrible..

I found a 2006 BF225A6 in good shape missing the lower unit.

What is the possibility to swap the 2003 lower unit to the 2006? The other possibility is swapping the cylinder heads, but from the research I have done, they appear to be different.

I have searched this forum and the hull truth, but can't find a definitive answer. Hoping someone is out there that might be able to answer my questions.

All main components are interchangeable , only the electrics changed.

That's great news. I am really hoping just to swap the heads since I think my motor is in better overall shape.
