Cracked the ol RBS on a rebuild. The brass press fit cap on top of the step up rod assy. Cracked the darn casting pressing in the cap.
Question is there are two model numbers for carbs, both duel carbs, # 4208 and #3971 for that year. both 120 HP 153 CI. I found a 4208 core on ebay, and it has some slight casting variation, but the same hole patterns and barrel ID inside diameter. Think it'll work? anybody know these carbs very well, other than having to rebuild them every 2 years./ Thank you everybody best of luck and health, Kevin C. in CA
