Hi All,
My 4hp 4 stroke Yamaha failed me yesterday (F4AMH) when I went to try and start it the pull cord only came out a little bit. It was not in gear however when the boat is being towed I put the outboard in reverse gear so it doesn't bounce when travelling. I thought maybe it was stuck in gear because I forget sometimes to return it to neutral.
I was messing about with it yesterday evening putting it in gear and turning the propeller and then today I took the spark plug off which was actually quite loose and oil oozed out a good bit too!
Does anyone have any idea what my problem could be did I force oil into the head by turning the prop or is it something more serious.
This engine is my backup and is not used a lot it had been stored upright for a couple of months prior.
Any help would be really appreciated
