3 blade or 4 blade on Force 90 HP SN#026494 M#908P91C

Any pros and cons on going from a 3 blade to a 4 blade prop for better lift and earlier plane and fuel economy on a 17' bass boat?
Would anyone advise on a pitch either 15 or 17? Using 17, 3 blade right now and the engine will tach out around 4600-4700
Thanks

Your economy will suffer.
I believe ? Your motor should turn to 52-5500
Had a 21ft. with twin 88/85hp. 17p alum.
Wide open 5300 was all I could get, at that I got 3.2 mpg. And that's not bad for a carb'd motor.!
The fastest I got was 32mph at wide open. I wanted faster.
Changed to a 19p alum. I got more.
The speed went to 34-35 fuel usage went 20-25% more.
Changing to a 4 blade, not sure it would help??
If you want better performance? I'd change to a 15p stainless.
That way the rpm;s would be about the same and fuel usage the same.

Bayliner(I know) put 85-90 0n boats up to 17ft.
After that it was a 120-125 on 19 and some 21's

The 17ft.85hp did 40mph.
My 21 with twin 85's did 32
The other 21s came with twin 120-125 and 40mph.
Then they made the 150 and got a lot faster.
