Having difficulties getting my Mercery 4 stroke 15hp to start. Was running perfectly until recently after I had changed the carburettor, fuel hoses, filter and clamps. Only thing not changed is the fuel pump and fuel tank.
Can get it to start (after working it for some time) in lower position on idle for about 10 sec before it stops. Trying to increase throttle it will stop immediately. The strange thing is that if I tilt it to a upper position (out of water) it is starting and can make it run on idle for several minutes, however if I try to increase throttle it will stop.
Any ideas what can cause this? Fuel pump?
