Owner's manual paid for itself today...

I got my hands on a donor motor with electric start and spent a couple of hours moving all the parts and harnesses over last night. As the sun set I got ready to start 'er up. The good news was that the starter worked...the bad news, no spark on any cylinder.

Spent 90min messing about with kill switch, key switch, CDI, stator, etc and decided to call it a day.

All the reading pointed back to key and kill switch (which I had already tested). This morning I stared at wiring diagrams online through my Seloc online owners manual as I had my second coffee. I pulled the key switch back out and stared at it. I had decided I would pull the CDI ground circuit right out just to make sure that wasn't an issue. I brought the ipad outside and looked closely at the connector diagram specifically at the order of each of the 5 bullet connectors. Hang on - ground and CDI wires were switched!!! Tada! All good. Phew.
