Hi guys i am new here. Just got a 12' deep hull aluminum boat with a 9.6hp sea king 2 stroke motor on it.
Motor seemed to run good and i am new to boat motors so didn't know what to expect.
Got a fish finder and little 30lb thrust trolling motor. The fish finder tells me mph.
And my little trolling motor with boat fully loaded is 2mph.
Now the sea king at 9.6hp would only max out at like 5 1/2mph.
Looking online some people are saying a 9.6 should hit 20 mph?
What may be wrong? or what am i doing wrong lol? Thanks in advance.
