3 Belt vs Serpentine

Ayuh,..... It'll cost a ton of money for the brackets, 'n pulleys, with absolutely no pay back,......
 
Serp belt looks more convenient but if it breaks or the tensioner fails you lose cooling, alternator charging and P/S. Seperate belt, you only lose one accessory. Serp belts are good in crowded Front drive auto applications but not really a benefit in a boat with plenty of room. So this is one area where seperate belts might be better. Plus there have been some problems with Volvo tensioner brackets etc.
