1982 35hp Oil leaking out of water intake

Am i correct to assume when water leaks out of water intake screen its drive shaft seal and when oil leaks out of hub its the hub seals?
Going to check lower unit for water in oil this morning.
 
I suggest a complete seal kit.----But do what you want.------The bushing is pulled out with 1/4" threaded rod.----Nut needs hex turned off it
