Power Pack to Charge Coil Wiring

Gents, I'm replacing the power pack on a 1991 Evinrude E10EEIR, power pack part number 584488. This is under the flywheel on these years not attached to the side as in previous years. I have the old parts off and ready to reassemble. The instructions indicate that the two wires between the power pack and the charge coil are color coded. Well, yes I guess that's true. But it's not obvious to me. The coil wire colors are 1) solid brown and 2) brown with yellow / green stripe. The two connecting wires on the power pack are BOTH brown with yellow / green stripe. (yellow / green means just one stripe but to me looks like a lime green so could be either yellow or green). I'm assuming that polarity is important. See pics for colors description. There is a slight length difference on each of the two sets of wires which, if connected as if polarized would make the connected length the same for both.

Would appreciate some guidance on the correct connection. Really only want to do this once. I have no idea what the result of an incorrect connection would be, again assuming polarity is important.

Thanks for your suggestions. I couldn't find any guidance in the service manual. It may be there and I just couldn't find it.

Picture of power pack (top photo) was slightly in the shadow. Lime green stripe is on the inside of the "V" shape formed by the two wires.

Your brown wires have yellow stripes, Find the corresponding brown wires with yellow stripes and connect them. Does not matter how they get connected,
The orange wire with the blue stripe goes to the coil connected to the top cylinder AKA #1
The orange wire with the green stripe goes to the coil connected to the bottom cylinder AKA #2

Firstly, sorry for the delayed reply. One of my other passions is golf and I've been away at the Ryder Cup tournament in Kohler WI this week as a volunteer. Watching the last day (Sunday) at home but it was a tremendous experience. Watching the last day from home.

Thank you so much for the reply. My intent is to get this back together tomorrow. I think I have learned that the charging coil output is AC current, therefore no particular polarity. You are confirming that point.

Thank you.
