Temp Alarm at startup

Hello all, I have a 1990 Johnson VRO 90 outboard. Recently, my temp alarm starting going off as soon as I start the engine, no way its overheated as its right at start up. Alarm sounds for about 10 seconds, then goes off but the light stays on. The engine is peeing strong, but I do have some water sputtering out of 2 holes at the rear of the engine. Is this a problem? Any info to help me diagnose why the alarm is going off is much appreciated, i don't want to end my season early!

Try disconnecting the sender in the cylinder head and see what happens.

What ever happened ????

I have a theory I am going to test out when I go up on Sat. I do know the engine is not overheating as the engine temp was checked independently (and the fact that it happens immediately and there is water flow). I will definitely report back after I check a few things, including your suggestion @boobie. Thanks!

Maybe the buzzer itself is defective.----What light stays on ?------Model # of this engine ?
