BF130 rev limited to 1800RPM

Good Morning,

My 2003 BF130A3 is rev limiting to 1800 RPM.
The mechanic confirmed it is not a fuel system issue and thinks it is an ECM/sensor issue.
When the problem occurs the engine will not rev above 1800 RPM.
There are no MIL codes, and the lights for the ECM, overheat, oil pressure and alternator are not on.

The service manual discusses the condition when rev limiting occurs (oil pressure or overheating alert) but there is supposed to be a warning light/buzzer and code set.
Not getting a code or a warning light/buzzer.

Any help would be appreciated.

The oil pressure light should be on when the motor is running. If you have low oil pressure the light will go off & the buzzer will sound & the motor will go into limp mode(1800 RPM). There is no low oil pressure fault code. But if the oil pressure warning light goes off the buzzer should come on. Does the buzzer work? To test it, you should get 2 beeps when the ignition is turned to on.

The green light does not come on when running (nor does the alarm), however there are two beeps sounded when turning on the ignition.
