BF225 - Damaged Mount Case Seal to Exhaust Manifold

While replacing my zincs, I found it a struggle to get the exhaust manifold off it's bottom seal to the mount case. On closer inspection, the seal appears to be damaged/torn. It looks like the new part is 18149-ZY3-A01. At first what I thought was gunk/salt on the bottom of that seal appears to be some kind of white sealant or glue. I don't believe the exhaust manifold has ever been off before - so I'm guessing this was factory. I can't find anything in the shop manual about this seal or if it needs some kind of sealant to replace it.

Anyone have experience swapping this part?

Clean thoroughly and fit new seal making sure the seal is properly seated. No sealant necessary
