So...... we had a bad storm roll through the other night. Somehow my stern spring line got wrapped around a pier bolt and pulled the stern of my boat back into the dock as the storm blew in. This cause my outboard (Yamaha F150) to get hung up under the dock. When I arrived to the boat the next day the outboard had been pushed halfway into the water from the skeg hitting the bottom of the dock. The outboard was trimmed all the way up. The force pushed down the hydraulic tilt rams. Now my steering is super tight. It is still functional but much tighter than before. My fear is the yamaha steering bracket assembly has been bent. I am bringing boat home tomorrow to disconnect steering arm and see how the outboard moves freely. Anybody ever have this happen? any advice?
