How to attach choke?

The old 2 stroke I got doesn't have the choke attached to anything. It starts great on the first pull everytime but probably I need this.

How do I attach the choke to the carburetor? What part should I look for?

Sorry if this is a basic question I'm completely new to all this.

To be clear, I mean, the choke rod isn't attached to anything. I think there's supposed to be a lever that connects the rod to the butterfly valve.

When one pulls the rod the valve should close and when one pushes the rod in the valve should open, no? I think something like Part 4 here is missing

I can't seem to find a replacement online.

Any ideas what it looks like or the measurements? I suppose I could 3D print a few to get a fit and then have a metal one made.

The only purpose of the part is to turn the butterfly open/closed right?
