I need to replace a spun prop on a 1968 Mercury 6hp. Original prop is 8 spline, right at 8 inches across. 3 blade. Will an 8 spline, 9 inch replacement prop fit? I can’t find a supplier that goes back beyond 1988 in their parts list but there are tons of 9 inch, 8 splines for sale that say it will fit a Mercury 6hp. I don’t know how universal pin drives are. Please help.
