Need Tach/Hour Meter for 2004 150....

The hour meter has faded and is unreadable.

The engine serial number is BANJXXX but it's a BF series I believe.

This looks like the exact replacement and states for a BF series, are the BF series the same going back to 2004?

Bob, yes, correct dial. Remember to make the same selection on the rotary switch. Calibration is usually not required but keep it in mind just in case. Hour meter is another story. The tachometer hour meter is not provided by NMEA and you may find it reads 0. I think the tach hour meter is not "smart" and just counts from the moment tach senses idle. I went through this on my previous boat with Volvo´s and had to leave the tachs connected to a power supply at home for 40 days running to install with correct hour indication. Honda´s may be different though, not too sure...

Thanks. I'm not too worried about the hour meter, the boat/engine, though 17 years old, is new to me so I don't mind starting at zero if that happens. Besides, I can't read the existing hour meter, that's why I'm replacing this.
