Hi folks, I just got a Tiny Tach to calibrate engine idle speed for my 2000 Mercury 30hp 2stroke. (http://www.marineengine.com/parts/mercury_marine_parts/sn/0G963663)
I have the service manual for the motor, but I can't figure out what I should be setting sparks per revolution to. I'm seeing a lot of information with 6 magnets and 12 poles and such that I should probably be able to figure out, but I'm lost. The signal wire wraps about the spark plug wire, so I expected to find the answer by looking for information on the CDM.
