I have a 2007 model 285. Mine has the 5.7L 350 mag engine and I was wondering if anyone has removed the lower water distribution housing (the nylon unit which has the blue lower raw water drain plug in it) whilst the boat was in the water and repaired or replaced, if so did you need to block off any hoses to stop sea water entry to the bilge whilst the unit was removed and being repaired or replaced ? Or is this job a strictly out of water project ?
Also how hard is it to remove the housing as it looks very close to the fuel tank bulkhead to gain access to remove the hoses at least it does with the 5.7L engine ?
