Hello i need to replace my Prestolite CCB-4004-1 on my Crusader's 350 (5,7 V8 1988) but i am having a hard time to find matching ones in Sweden.

Does someone know if these has internal resistors/external or some more "modern" part numbers?.

Mine has 4 wires + plug cannot se a ballast resistor.

shown as externally resisted but any 12volt coil will work. Resistor may be a Chrysler type ceramic or just resistance wire

Yes it seems like that when i messured the volt on the working engine and it showed 6.4 volts so if i understand correct that means it has external ballast resistor. Thank you for your help.

Took the coil from the working engine and put on the other one and it fired upp like never before.

you should be able to find the ballast by following the purple wires from the '+' terminal....one will go to the starter solenoid and the other should go to the resistor...it's usually under the cover where the main breaker is, at the flywheel end of the engine, above the starter.
