Johnson 90 HP Model # Help

Hi, New to the Marine Engine forums, but have been buying parts from here for quite a while. I have a 90 Hp Johnson with VRO and in the process of trying to diagnose a fuel/ignition/bogging/etc/etc situation. Compiling a separate post for that, but the best first step would be to positively identify the actual engine I have. Up to now, I have been able to get away with just general parts, carb kits, hose and the like. The motor is an 1985 or 86. The identification label on the engine is partially ripped off and I only have the serial number. Can anyone assist with reverse tracing the model by the serial number? When I ask or look for parts that are specific to the motor, I am at a loss. Model: J90....... Serial #: J7138685 Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks
