I have a force i bought back in march that had no issues what so ever up until a couple weeks ago. I tried starting the motor with my electric start on my steering console and the motor started then died after a couple seconds. I then tried to start it again where the motor began to crank over even when I pulled the key out and would not stop until I disconnected the battery. I figured it was the starter solenoid that was stuck in the on position and I ordered one to replace it. I did so and replaced the old one and now the motor will not do anything when I turn the key. I put the old one back in to see if it would even crank over like it did before and the old one does nothing now too. I do not know what to do next or what would be causing this.

Sounds like the ignition switch needs lube.
WD40 in the switch.
Unhook the battery, spray 1 quick shot of WDthen turn the key and push in the primer.
Repeat a few times.
Then blow the moisture out of switch and then hook up the battery.
Might need replacing? Find a marine tech.
