I have a new mercury 9.9 with a three bladed prop. I'm told the pitch is 8.5. The motor is on a small jon boat and I run on rivers that have a medium current. It seems to me the motor will loose rpms sometimes going against the current. I would expect some of that. But is there another prop, perhaps a two-bladed prop like, Timguy has mentioned in other threads, that might help keep up the rpms and hopefully speed?
