Glastron GT185 4.3 Liter Rev Limiter Top Speed issue

I have a 2014 GT185 that used to do 58-60 MPH per gauge. Rev limiter never kicked in, motor sounded fine into 5k RPM range. Over the last 3 years rev limiter kicks in at 4.9k RPMs and bareley does 48. Prop is same size as I have always used. Any input would be appreciated.

Speedos on dash are horribly inaccurate likely you are going just as fast and guage is reading differently. I suspect a out 50 is top end for this boat typical bowrider wont hit 60… Verify speed by gps app on phone, check tach vs shop tach dash tachs are also known issue points

No, Boat does not go near speed it used to. I woudl know. It used to rev smoothly to 4-5K RPM's in the past for short bursts without limiter ever kicking in. Had tune up from local marina and has never run right since.

Problem Solved, Reset tachometer on Faria gauge by depressing and moving back and forth. Set back to location#2 for 6 cylinder. Boat builds up to speed without rev limiter kicking in below 5k.
I had spoken to two different marine mechanics and they never mentioned tach reset fix. I read about this fix on another thread within Marine Engine.com

[h=2][/h]FWIW, The best my 2300 Holley equipped 2008 Glastron GT185 4.3 has been 54 mph per gps on flat water.
