Mercury 45hp carb problem

The carb is spitting out gas out of a hole towards the top. The pump ball will not get hard and if you squeeze it you can watch the gas poor out of carb. Advice please?
 
Carburetors are very important on 2 strokes.----So pull the 2 of them off together ( linkage between them ) and clean them .-----Super easy in my opinion.
