Replacing my 2003 honda 225's???

I'm considering replacing my 2003 twin 225 Honda's on my 2004 26' Edgewater CC with twin 250 Honda Whites or Silver. Looking for any input that might be helpful especially if you've done something similar. My current outboards have 2700 hours, have been well cared for and are dependable. I put a little over 100 hours on per season. The boat is in excellent shape and I like it. We normally run (weather permitting) about 60 plus miles off Barnegat Light and I'm getting a little nervous about 17 year old outboards.
 
Great idea, they've done well, also, resale value will be a lot better while they still run well as opposed to waiting for them to die.
