Crusader 454 Bogging getting on plane

Hey Guys,

I have twin 1986 Crusader 454s with quadrajets in a 31 bertram. I am having an issue with one of the engines bogging when getting up on plane for the first time each trip. After that, its fine and will turn all the way up to WOT.

Any idea what could be causing it? Looks like about 1800-2200 RPMS is when the motor starts to bog. I back off back down to idle and then throttle up again and its fine. Not sure what could be the issue. Thanks for any help.
 
i'd start by checking the ignition advance on the problem engine...especially if the distributors haven't received any recent attention...
 
looks like it bogged down again, towards the end of the video, around 2800...

have you checked for adequate fuel pressure? checked the screen under the flare nut in the carb?
 
I have not checked fuel pressure, however, I did replace the fuel filter beneath the flare nut. At the end of the video I believe I was messing with the throttles to sync engines but it could be another dip. I'll have to look again.
