I took the cowling off my 2hp Parsun outboard (it's a clone of the Yamaha 2A/2B 2hp outboard).
When I looked down, I found a grommet on the floor. I've tried using parsunparts.com and boats.net to find the part and where to put it back, but I've been unsuccessful. I also looked through the Yamaha 2A/2B service manuals but that didn't help The service manual I have for my outboard is from the next model up which is a slightly different design (especially the cowling design and unfortunately that is the only manual that Parsun was able to give me.
If someone is familiar with the Yamaha/Mariner 2hp, maybe you would have the knowledge of where this grommet goes?
