Solving problem with transmission oil

I was adding oil to the transmission to my twin Crusader 454 when the extension of the funnel got loose and fell inside the oil system. Can I still run it or do I need to take the V- transmission apart? Is there a diagram for the transmission system?
 
probably a good idea to keep the debris out of the gear...not knowing exactly what it is and how big or its material makes it hard to say for sure.

there are manuals for the various gears on the internet...you just need to know who's gear it is.
