BF20D valve lash specs?

I believe that the valve lash tolerances for a 2003 BF20D are as follows :

Intake 0.17mm +/- 0.02mm
Exhaust 0.23mm +/- 0.02mm

Is this correct?

Also... can I re-seat plugs once the crush washers have been crushed?

Here are the valve clearances:

Intake: 0.15~0.19mm (0.006~0.007in.)

Exhaust: 0.21~0.25mm (0.008~0.010in.)

I recommend setting them closer to the loose side of the specifications because the clearance will close up over time as the valves settle into their seats. Your call though. If you intend to check/adjust them often then more in "the middle" is good. Just don't get them on the tight side as that can cause you problems.

As far as reinstalling spark plugs it's done all the time and they will seal correctly if properly torqued.
The torque for these plugs is:12 N•m (9 lb.ft.)

OK. Done. One of the intake valves was out of tolerance at .139mm. I adjusted that one, and now both of them are matched at .18mm. Both exhaust measured the same and I left them alone, they were both a "loose" drag on .23 mm

I'm guessing that the valve lash tends to shorten up as the valves self-lap with use.

Was the intake valve you adjusted tight or loose?
