Tachometer issues.
With motor running I notice that the tach gauge jumps up and down.
What would cause the gauge to do this?

Loose or corroded connection somewhere. Check battery cables first.

Battery Conn fine.
What color wire on the motor to check?
My manual does not show anything.

May be related or not but the carburetor was missing a NOZZLE WELL GASKET.
I may be buying new carbs rebuild kits. Meanwhile I made a gasket and
Will try it out on the lake later.
