Working on 1998 225hp EFI 3.0 liter outboard and found 2 stroke oil not flowing from 3gal tank to outboard reservoir. This happened soon after running out of gas when at high RPM's and the motor suddenly stopped.
What else could cause this? Reeds?
I checked lines, tank and now found no pressure coming from check valve #7 in the diagraph. Replaced it with no success.
I have also replaced both #16 and #14 check valves thinking that would leak pressure. (There are 4)
Confirmed compression in the cylinder that the valves draw from.
Pulled the #7 valve while running and it has pressure. But seems to be back and forth pressure as it will suck and push air. Maybe more sucking than pulling when I put my thumb to it.
