1977 johnson evinrude 75hp. Tilt trim issue

I have a 1977 johnson evinrude 75hp. Model 75743s. 2 ram tilt trim with trim motor outside boat. The trim motor is shot. And rams possibly leak not really sure. What motor do I need to replace the trim. It's a 3 wire motor. Or do I need to just replace whole system. If so what tilt trim system should I be looking for.

I don't believe the parts are available for that tilt unit. I also don't believe it's a trim unit.

No not a unit. But can I replace with a unit???

It has a double ram tilt system with a trim motor. As I understand this motor is obsolete and not in production any more so can another Motor be put in its place or do I need to just replace the whole system and not try to repair the one I have. Thank in advance

One of 2 solutions.-----Find a donor midsection (1979 to 1988 --- 49 cubic inch ) with power / trim .----Install your powerhead and lower unit.----Find a MERCRUISER pump and reservoir unit.----Those mount inside the boat and will require some work to adapt hydraulic hoses.
