Advice needed for Cylinder Heads

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I have a '95 Ski Sanger Dlx20 with a Mercruiser 350 tournament ski edition engine. I need to replace the heads but cannot find the same cast number anywhere.(938-9718) Can I run any pre vortec 350 head? Does it have to be marine? I can't seem to find a straight answer on what i can run. I know I can go with vortec heads and change the intaje manifold but Im looking for a pair of inexpensive heads to hold me over til next season when I recover from the covid slow down to purchase a new engine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes any non vortec head with the same chamber volume should work. Smaller or larger chamber volume would raise or lower compression ratio. I would think a good machine shop would have something you can use. A marine engine is basically a truck engine

if you want to mailorder a reman head try michigan motorz.https://www.michiganmotorz.com/5-7l-cylinder-head-gm-v-8-1987-95-remanufactured

they may have other ones to fit your application as well but just an example

About 4 years back I did head replacement for the same engine in my friends Malibu ski boat. 350 mag ski

I hit local auto junk yards and and found a van engine with the exact same castings and the engine had only 60,000 miles on it. Bought heads brought to machine shop for cleaning, disassembly, inspection.

All was good and did the replacement on the boat. Cost
$300 for heads
$150 for machine shop
