1974 70 horse evinrude problems

Hi guys so last year my motor made a nasty grinding noise then stopped going into forward gear. The motor Runs fine it goes into reverse and revs in forward but the prop wont turn please help I'm lost
 
Drain the gear oil.------Likely will look like silver metal flake paint.-----Stripper teeth off the gears.------Your location.----Time shop for a used gearcase.-----Only a few years will fit that oil pressure shifted unit.

Can you tell me what years I should look for I'm in Ontario please and thank you
