Manifold Crack in Volvo 4.3 GXI

Just getting my boat out after a hard Texas winter and noticed the "Exhaust Manifold" (I think that is what it is) is severely cracked. Boat stays on a lift. We had an extremely hard freeze this year but the engine had been winterized by dealership. I would imagine this is a freeze crack but is it just something that happens or did dealership do a poor job wintering it?

Appreciate an unbiased opinion

Ayuh,.... A pisspoor job,.... Hopefully, they did better on the block,......

You need new manifolds,..... I'd go after the dealership for 'em,.....

Clearly they charged you for service that was never done. Now they can pay for whatever damage they are responsible for. I suspect they bet on a mild winter.

Yeah freeze damage for sure.i bet they didn't drain it and sucked antifreeze through the muffs... they should replace the manifold and watch for water in the oil likely you will see a cracked block as well

that lock and stitch crack repair is great for rare or really expensive castings But in a situation like this just replace the manifold
