I changed my water pump and impeller on my 1985 Evinrude 150xp. It was my first time working on a boat motor and it definitely had it challenges. I got it all back together and all seems to be good. My issue is I broke this plastic fitting and I don't know what it is, or if it will hurt to run the motor. I was trying to remove the hose so I could lower the lower unit and while trying to pry the hose off the fitting broke. Can someone tell me what this is and what it does.
