"Hello, I hope somebody can help with this question. I was just given a Evinrude 6hp outboard. The I.D. tag is still on the motor but it is starting to peel from the top. I can still read the serial # but the model # is missing. Is there anywhere else it might be located? Thank You. Jeff

It should be located on the transom bracket or you can pull the cover off the motor and look for a silver welch plug that looks like a freeze out plug and it should be on there
