PCV vs. breathers

My Ford 302 had a breather style oil cap and a pcv valve on the other side. The Crusader 350 has a tight cap and 2 breathers, one on each side. Both set ups run the 3/8 hose to the flame arrestor.

is there any down side to replacing the breathers on the Crusader with pcv valves and if that is not a bad idea will I need to replace the cap with a breather cap?

Makes sense. After reading up on it seems PCV is more about emissions and more useful in automobiles and more frequent higher rpms. I’ll stick with “if it ain’t broke...”. Thanks again Mark
