I removed the old one in neutral instead of forward can i install the newer one in neutral.

maybe...you are better off just moving the shifter to FWD and then make sure the lower is in FWD when it goes back together...

How do you put the bottom in fwd which way does the prop turn when the n fwd if you r behind the drive. Thanks for your help
