I have a 2012 Yamaha F150LA and I am not getting any water out of the "pee hole". The complete water pump assembly was replaced in 2020 and a very small amount of water came out of the hole after replacement. I started and ran the engine this weekend using a dual flow water flusher and no water came out the hole. The engine ran for about 10 minutes and no high temp alarm sounded.
I removed the cowling and traced the hose back to the engine block. I removed the hose going to the nipple on the block and ran the engine. Again, no water coming out of the block. I removed the thermostat and I do have water to the thermostat.
Could this be a faulty thermostat or do I need to drop the lower section and check the impeller in the water pump?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions.
