1998 Honda BF50AW - Trolling for hours at a time - Bad for motor?

Now that my outboard is running great, I have noticed that it idles at about 1000 rpm and pushes my boat about 2.5mph.
I do a lot of trolling on my local lakes and am concerned about running at this low rpm for several hours at a time. I can troll up to 5-6 hours in an outing.

Is trolling for extended hours an issue for a carbureted outboard?
What are the negatives to this amount of trolling time at low RPM?

NOTE: I was considering purchasing a small kicker, as my boat is set up for one (has a retractable outboard mount).
Considering a Suzuki 2.5 water cooled for the quieter engine noise (vs Honda 2.3hp). I tried out a friends Honda and it was quite loud being air cooled. Weights are the same at 31# for the long shafts.

Thoughts?

Thanks

That's the ability most 4 strokes enjoy.

Pontoon boats in particular, may never see more than idle speed after being warmed up - for decades.....

So....the kicker would only be for speeds below 2mph, OR, when.....my reliable, hearty, proven..... 1998 Honda BF50AW let's me down? Haha!
